Instructions

Cream butter/shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoons into balls. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in the mixture. Place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
