2 sticks cinnamon 8 whole cloves 1 sliced orange 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup lemon juice 1/2 to 1 cup water

Boil together to make the syrup, then refrigerate. When ready to make up, add the syrup mixture to 1 gallon apple cider. Add 1/3 quart room temperature ginger ale. Heat and serve.
