*Notes:* Ok to add milk with sugar if too stiff. Makes 1 quart (2 pints \= 4 half-pints/cups).

Melt butter and add the chocolate, stirring until melted. Gradually stir in sugar and salt. Slowly stir in the milk. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved.

*Notes:* Ok to add milk with sugar if too stiff. Makes 1 quart (2 pints \= 4 half-pints/cups).
